The steel wheels on this bike were really warped and rusty, so I found some alloy rims and got some spokes from Buchanons and polished the hubs and laced them up myself.  I trued them and balanced them too.  First time for me lacing wheels.  It was fun and now I am anxious to do some more.  This really made a difference on this bike.   The bike rides lots smother  and  goes in a straight line, and is probably a couple pounds lighter.  Mostly it looks better.  I love alloy rims and spokes when they are done up nice.  Be sure to scroll down
